Rhoda Ojwang is the CEO/Founder of HAIG, she lives in San Diego, California. She is a doctoral prepared family nurse practitioner with numerous years of clinical experience in different specialties. Preventative medicine, women’s & men’s health, interventional pain, and chronic disease management are among many of her areas of interest. Conducting annual medical mission trips to underserved areas has been her dream for a long time, thus the reason for founding HAIG. Prior to launching HAIG, she was part of multiple other medical mission trips to Kenya. Dr. O and HAIG team intend to continue conducting yearly mission trips to different underserved areas in an attempt to make healthcare accessible. The HAIG team completed a very successful medical mission trip to Kitale, Kenya in 2019. They canceled their 2020 & 2021 trips due to the Covid – 19 pandemic. Plans to resume these trips in 2023 are underway. She urges everyone to make a point of giving back to the community in any way they can.
